NOTEWORTHY: Kenzi Darnell clubbed two home runs while Kaylea Ensey, Payton Owens and Mackenzie Parnell launched one apiece Thursday, and the Class 2A No. 6 Roff Lady Tigers slammed Stringtown 12-0 in just 2 ½ innings Thursday at the Caney Tournament. Darnell, Kailyn Gore and Madi Diprima each went 2-for-2 from the plate to ignite Roff’s 12-hit attack. Darnell drove in four runs for the locals. Gore and Diprima each knocked in a run. Gore scored a pair of runs, while Diprima doubled and scored one time. Parnell and Ensey were each 1-for-2 with two RBIs and the homer. Owens (1-for-1) and Sidney Wright (1-for-2) each picked up one RBI. Camden Simon got the pitching win, as she allowed only one hit and no walks while picking up a strikeout.

NOTEWORTHY: Kailyn Gore and Payton Owens each cranked out two home runs and Roff totaled seven for the game, but the Lady Tigers fell to Class A No. 3 Kiowa 24-16 in a slugfest Thursday at the Caney Tournament. Madi Diprima, Kenzi Darnell and Paige Mayfield each smacked a homer for Roff. The Lady Tigers pounded out 19 hits. Gore and Owens led the way. Gore finished 4-for-4 from the plate with the two blasts, three RBIs and three runs scored. Owens ended up 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Five other Lady Tigers ended up with two hits each in a losing effort. Elissa Bettes (2-for-3) and Mayfield (2-for-4) each knocked in two runs, while Ensey (2-for-3) and Darnell (2-for-4) each picked up one RBI. Sidney Wright (1-for-3) also drove in a run and Mackenzie Parnell also went 2-for-4 and scored twice. Kiowa compiled 20 hits, including eight home runs. Kye Stone finished 4-for-4 with three home runs, eight RBIs and four runs scored for the Cowgirls. Cadence Howard went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double, five RBIs and three runs scored. Rachel Eggleston, Bracen Hackler and Sydney Linscott also homered for the Cowgirls. Maddie Patton finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and four runs scored from the KHS leadoff spot.

NOTEWORTHY: Autumn Fritz homered in a 2-for-3 effort, but it wasn’t enough as the Tupelo Lady Tigers were on the short end of a 10-2 score with Bennington. Tupelo’s only other extra-base hit was a triple by Cheyane Price (1-for-2). Lilly Woods was also 1-for-2 with a walk, while Shalyn McCollum, Breonna D’Aguanno, Kacie Maldonado and Karyn Maldonado each finished 1-for-3 to account for Tupelo’s eight total hits. Bennington pounded out 11 hits, including three homers and two doubles.

NOTEWORTHY: Paige Mayfield and Kailyn Gore homered while Camden Simon went 3-for-3 from the plate with three RBIs and got the pitching win Thursday, and the Roff Lady Tigers topped Tupelo 9-1 in five innings at the Caney Tournament. Mayfield, Kaylea Ensey, Madi Diprima and Mackenzie Parnell were each 2-for-3. Mayfield finished with two RBIs. Ensey knocked in one run and scored once. Diprima scored twice, and Parnell crossed the plate once. Lillie McDonald (1-for-1), Gore (1-for-3 with the homer and two RBIs), Kenzi Darnell (1-for-3 with one RBI) and Payton Owens (1-for-3 with two runs scored) rounded out the Lady Tigers’ 15-hit total. Simon allowed only four hits and no walks while getting a strikeout. Shalyn McCollum (1-for-2) drove in the lone Tupelo run, while Autumn Fritz, Lilly Woods and Kacie Maldonado each finished 1-for-2 in a losing cause.

NOTEWORTHY: Hailey Baber hit a home run and Sadie Reed went 3-for-3 from the plate and scored a pair of runs Thursday, and the Latta Lady Panthers edged Beggs 10-9 in the Firelake Festival in Shawnee. Baber finished 2-for-2 with the homer, a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Cheyenne Adair, Abbi Atkinson and Kaylee Gragg were each 2-for-3 in a 15-hit Latta offense. Brylea Russell and Trinity Cotanny were each 1-for-3 with one RBI, and Jaylee Willis, who doubled, knocked in a run as well.

NOTEWORTHY: Triniti Cotanny homered in a 3-for-4 effort and earned the pitching victory Thursday, as the Latta Lady Panthers downed the Seminole Lady Chieftains 6-4 in the Firelake Classic in Shawnee. Cotanny homered, doubled, knocked in three runs and scored twice to fuel Latta’s 10-hit attack. Cotanny also gave up just five hits and five walks while recording a strikeout. Hailey Baber and Jaylee Willis were each 2-for-4 for the Lady Panthers. Baber doubled, drove in a run and scored once, while Willis also scored a run. Cotanny’s homer, a three-run blast, was the highlight of a five-run fourth inning.

NOTEWORTHY: Randee Dunlap hit a pinch-hit, walk-off grand slam to lift the Stonewall Lady Longhorns to a heart-pounding 16-12 win over Class 5A power Chisholm Thursday at the Firelake Festival in Shawnee. Alexis Chamberlain launched two home runs and also hit a grand slam for the Lady Longhorns, ranked No. 8 in Class 2A. Dawsyn Lyon and Kai Watkins also hit home runs for Stonewall, which pounded 20 hits and overcame four errors. It was the first career varsity home runs for Watkins and Dunlap. Chamberlain finished 4-for-4 from the plate with five RBIs and three runs scored, while teammate Mary Collins was also 4-for-4 and scored twice. Watkins went 3-for-3 with the homer, a double, three RBIs and three runs scored, and Clio Heath ended up 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Lyon was 2-for-4 with her homer and three RBIs, and Tatam Brady had a 2-for-3 effort with one RBI and two runs scored.

Kai Watkins went 2-for-2 with three runs scored for Stonewall, while Heath, Collins and Tatam Brady each finished 2-for-3. Heath had her homer, a double and three RBIs and Collins drove in two runs to go with her home run. The Lady Longhorns compiled 14 hits. Alexis Chamberlain (1-for-1) and Meghan Sliger (1-for-3) each picked up one RBI.

NOTEWORTHY: The Byng Lady Pirates hammered five home runs and totaled 16 hits, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a Tecumseh hitting barrage as the Lady Savages rolled past the hosts for a 28-18 victory in five innings. Tecumseh pounded out 27 hits. Karissa Shico homered twice, while Britney Brooks-Teel, Kennedy Large and Sydnee Fortner each went deep once. Brooks-Teel finished 3-for-3 from the plate with the homer, a double, five RBIs and three runs scored. Teammate McKinley Feazle was 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Shico also drove in five runs and scored twice, while going 2-for-3. Krosby Clinton and Fortner were each 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Clinton hit one triple. Addison McGill also knocked in a run while going 1-for-2 with a triple.

NOTEWORTHY: The Konawa Lady Tigers piled up 24 hits and five home runs but couldn’t overcome 10 errors in dropping a 25-20 decision to Smithville on Thursday. Kenley Matthews clubbed three home runs and a double and finished 4-for-5 from the plate with seven RBIs and four runs scored. Ashley Fry and Shelby Phillips each went 3-for-5 and homered for Konawa. Phillips drove home three runs, and Fry had one RBI. Sheyenne Coody, Kayla Hill and Mackenzie Hernandez each finished 3-for-4 and Julie Coats was 3-for-5 as well. Coody knocked in three runs. Hill, who doubled once, drove in two, and Hernandez had one RBI. Coats had one RBI as she doubled twice.

NOTEWORTHY: Abby Beck, Ally Dixon, Kinlee Duck, Hailey Keith and Shallen Mershon each homered, and the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs pounded out 21 hits in a 20-7 rout of Plainview on Thursday. Beck went 3-for-4 with six RBIs and three runs scored, as she was one of three Sulphur players to collect three hits. Dixon finished 3-for-4 with her homer, three RBIs and four runs scored, and Briley Minor ended up 3-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Mershon (with four RBIs), Duck (three RBIs), Blakeyn Barber (one RBI) and Meredith Jones were each 2-for-3, and Keith (with two RBIs) ended up 2-for-4. Minor scattered eight hits and walked only three in getting the pitching victory.

NOTEWORTHY: A three-run rally in the seventh just fell short, as the Coalgate Lady Wildcats were on the short end of an 18-17 score with Hartshorne. Coalgate pounded out 18 hits. Katyn Denson went 4-for-4 with a grand slam, and a double and scored twice. Shea Linton and Annie Yanez also homered for the Lady Wildcats. Chloe Brown (3-for-3 with two runs scored), Caitlyn Sandlin (3-for-4 with one RBI and three runs scored) and Jaxie Wilson (3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored) provided a lift to the Coalgate offense in a losing cause. Yanez, with a homer, and Rylie Wood, with a double, each knocked in three runs in the contest. Shea Linton, the losing pitcher, drove in two runs in a 1-for-3 outing, and Shantel Roebuck (1-for-2) picked up one RBI.

NOTEWORTHY: A walk-off grand slam by Chloe Brown in the bottom of the fourth inning lifted the Coalgate Lady Wildcats to a 24-23 win over Colbert on Thursday. Katyn Denson and Caitlyn Sandlin each went 4-for-4 to spark Coalgate’s 28-hit attack. Denson tripled, drove in three runs and scored a pair of runs, while Sandlin doubled twice, knocked in two runs and scored four times. Brown ended up 3-for-3 with four RBIs, four runs scored and a walk, and Annie Yanez contributed a 3-for-3 effort with a double, three RBIs and a run scored. Shea Linton, the winning pitcher, also homered for the Lady Wildcats. She was 3-for-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored. Rylie Wood was 3-for-4 as well with two RBIs and three runs scored. Braelynn Wardrope (2-for-3 with a double) and Mckenzie Lynn (1-for-3) drove in a pair of runs apiece, and Breana Hale (2-for-3) also scored twice in the game.
