Bryce Cobb drilled four treys and finished with 13 points. Wanette led 18-17 at halftime, but Asher outscored the Tigers, 33-23, in the second half.

COACH’S QUOTE: “The bottom line is I got out-coached. I didn’t prepare my guys for some of the things that Asher was doing. Coach (Darrin) Fowler did some good things that I did not prepare my guys for. Asher is very big inside and we had a hard time rebounding on the offensive glass. We had a great effort against Asher and I feel like we played with a purpose as a team. We shot the ball well in the first half and we went ice cold in the second half. My guys showed a lot of determination and heart and you can’t coach that into kids. They either have it or don’t and my guys have a lot of it.” — Wanette head coach Jeff Parnell.

Team Records: Wanette is 6-2; Asher 4-6.
