Picture This: Back to the basics... storage media

The Sony Mavica seemed like a breakthrough in 1997. The long, thin slot on the right side of the camera is for the camera’s storage media, the 3.5-inch floppy disk. In addition to holding very few photos, floppy disks were slow. Remember the sound when you inserted one into a camera or computer? “Mmmerp. Mmmerp. Mmmerp.”
