The Big Pitch competition deadline extended to Friday

Organizers have extended the deadline for entries into a business pitch competition. Contestants now have until Friday to get their entries submitted.

The Big Pitch — Ada is set to take place at 3 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Grandview Event Center, 201 E. Main St. in Ada. Live pitch presentations will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m., after which organizers will host a networking party from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The Big Pitch - Ada is a business competition that provides a platform for entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and compete for cash prizes. Organizers say they are looking for great business ideas. Whether the idea is in the concept stage or already operational, they want to hear the pitch.

Hosted by Ada Jobs Foundation and sponsored by Citizens Bank of Ada, the ECU Foundation, Grandview Event Center, Lovera’s Handcrafted Foods and Vision Bank Ada, The Big Pitch — Ada is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to take a shot at winning some much-need capital.

Ada Jobs Foundation officials aren’t just looking for enterprising entrepreneurs. They say they want an audience, too.

“Even if you are not participating in the competition, we invite you to join us at the event to encourage your local entrepreneurs and have a great time,” organizers said in a press release about the event. “The competition section of the day will be followed by a fun social networking party. Winners of the pitch competition will also be declared at this time. The goal is to eat, drink, be merry and talk all things entrepreneurship!”

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the inaugural event.
