The final deadline to register for the Pontotoc County Fair Youth Talent Show is Tuesday, September 2 at 6 p.m. All entries for the event must be in at this time, according to Shelley Scifres, fair director.

The talent show will feature three different categories: dance, instrumental, and vocal. The dance category will be an all-ages competition. Instrumental will be divided into two age groups; division I will be for contestants aged 12 and under. Division II will be for those aged 13-18. The vocal category will feature three different divisions. Division I will feature contestants aged six and under; division II will be for ages 7-13; division III will focus on ages 14-18.

The talent show will be held on Friday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. Contestants will need to arrive between 5-5:45 p.m. to check in.

Prizes will be award for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place contestants in all categories and divisions. First place winners will receive $75. Second place gets $50 and third takes home $25.
