Latta Public School’s Organization of Speech and Theater competed in the OSSAA Class 4A State One-Act competition Oct. 27.

Latta’s play, “The Drowning Girls,” was one of a three-way tie for second place, but the protocol for the tie-breaker left them with a fourth-place finish at the state level. Okarche finished in first place, Cherokee finished in second place and Alva finished in third place.

Latta freshman Elizabeth Crawford was selected as a Class 4A All-State Actor.
