ADA — Hiring the best skilled, most suitable caregivers is a concern of every health care organization.

In His Service (IHS) Management Systems considers education to be the key in their success in the health care business.

Having an educational institution such as Pontotoc Technology Center as a partner empowers IHS to hire an overall better front-line staff who will stay longer, perform better, and work safer-while freeing nursing management to focus on their strategic responsibilities.

IHS owns and operates four nursing homes, a hospice, and a rehabilitation service in and around the Ada area. IHS employs over 300 employees and relies heavily on Pontotoc Technology Center to educate their staff to be successful.

Some programs of interest that IHS has participated in are computer courses, management classes, certified nurse aide, certified medication aide, aide, home health aide, and customized in-service programs.

Well-educated employees are critical to IHS Systems' success in the health care industry. Caring for the elderly in a way that is personal is Bart Reed's intention since his family founded Ballard's Care Center more than 53 years ago.

As a result of this partnership between IHS and Pontotoc Technology Center, PTC has trained over 500 certified nurses' aides in the last six years and Reed reports retention rates have never been higher in their history of business.

IHS Management Systems and Pontotoc Technology Center will continue to partner for the betterment of health to our elderly throughout Oklahoma communities.
