Fatality collision

A wrecked pickup sits attached to a wrecker Tuesday as emergency personnel work the scene of a fatality collision.

A Connerville resident died Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle collision northwest of Ada.

The wreck occurred at about 7:45 a.m. on state Highway 3 near County Road 1440, 3 miles northwest of Galey.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Brian Bagwell said 36-year-old Quinn Danielle Frye of Connerville was driving a 2011 Honda SUV north on SH3 when she crossed the center line and collided with a 2014 Ford pickup driven by 49-year-old Reuben Garza-Bursiaga of Agra.

Frye was pronounced dead at the scene. Funeral arrangements are pending with Clark Funeral Service in Tishomingo.

Bursiaga was taken by Air Evac Lifeteam to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with internal injuries.

Pontotoc County sheriff’s deputies, firefighters from Ada and Oil Center, Mercy EMS and employees with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation also responded.
