Debbie Vogt’s Ada Early Childhood Center pre-K students have made a special friend in the months since the children returned to school — a four-legged friend.
The kids have recently been given several opportunities to meet and interact with Rena, AECC’s facility dog. Rena is trained to help students develop social and emotional skills. If the looks on the children’s faces are any indication, Rena seems to be doing a spectacular job.
“It is a treat to see her actively assisting with whole group lessons in the classrooms and also helping students individually,” Vogt said. “She is a treasure for us at AECC, and I love photographing her at her job.”
