ECU volleyball team announces pair of signees

Ada —    East Central University volleyball will add two more new faces to the 2014 roster, with the announcement of two additional signees by head coach Dave Thorn. The Lady Tigers added Alexandria Campbell and Madyson Gill during the late signing period.

Campbell has been a starter for the Mansfield Summit High School varsity team for the past three seasons. During her senior campaign, she earned All-District 15-4A Honorable Mention honors and helped the team become bi-district finalists.

“Alex is a strong front-row player who can play at either the left or right side hitter positions,” said Thorn. “She is a quick athlete who can become an excellent back row player as well. We are excited to have her join the ECU program and play for us over the next four years.”

Gill has played at The Colony High School and for the Excel Under-18 Club Team in the Dallas area. As a senior, she earned all-district honors.

“Madyson is a six-rotation outside hitter with good ball control skills and the ability to be a dominating hitter,” Thorn said. “She has shown great toughness, and I look forward to great things from her.”
