Injury, fatality accidents reported

Ada — Konawa man dies in car wreck

A car crash south of Seminole killed a Konawa man Tuesday morning.

Daniel Dillon, 55, died when an oncoming pickup, driven by Theodore Stankiewicz, 20, Keller Texas, slammed into Dillon’s car, according to a report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Stankiewicz was driving south on US 377 near the Bowlegs area when he attempted to pass another car, the report said. Dillon was driving north. Stankiewicz reportedly lost control of his vehicle and went into a broadslide when the two vehicles collided.

Dillon was pronounced dead at the scene. The Seminole Fire Department extracted him from the car using the Hurst tool. Stankiewicz was treated and released at the Seminole Hospital, according to the report.

A third vehicle, driven by Ashley Henson of Seminole, struck debris from the collision. She was not injured.

Troopers David Brown, Lt. Scott Aldridge and Keith Burch were at the scene. Seminole Sheriff’s Office, Bowlegs Volunteer Fire Department and Seminole Fire and Rescue were on the scene of the crash.

Ada man injured

An Ada man was injured Monday when he struck a cow on state Highway 51 in Kingfisher County.

Seth Aaron D. O’Neal, 21, was eastbound on SH 51 when he struck a cow in the middle of the highway, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. His 1994 Ford two-door vehicle was equipped with seat belts, but it was not clear whether O’Neal was using one.

O’Neal was taken to the Okeene Hospital with head, arm and internal trunk injuries, according to the OHP. He was then transported to OU Medical Center,  where he was listed in stable condition.

O’Neal was later discharged, a hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday.
