Ada —

Jennifer Leigh Hayes and Benny Moreno Jr. of Spring, Texas, were united in marriage on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in a double-ring candle-lit ceremony at the historic Wintersmith Lodge in Ada.

The bride was given in marriage by her son, Brayden Espinosa. Robert Scarberry, stepfather of the bride, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Jannie Scarberry of Houston, Texas, and Mike and Doris Hayes of Ada. She is the granddaughter of the late John and Mildred Clark and the late Betty Jo Myers Adams and Charles Hayes, all formerly of Ada.

The groom is the son of Rosa Martinez and Benny Moreno Sr., and the grandson of Narcisco and Trinidad Madrigal and Maria Iraheta and the late Lino Moreno, all from Houston.

The bride wore a sleeveless ivory gown with a gathered bodice and cascading ruffles down the full-length skirt. She wore a tan mid-sleeve cardigan over the dress with a marine blue ribbon around the waist with a bow at the back, letting the ribbons flow to the floor. She wore brown cowboy boots and carried a bouquet of orange, multiple colors of tan, and burlap-colored flowers with the stems covered and tied with burlap, ivory lace and marine blue ribbons, with a pearl brooch that belonged to her late grandmother pinned on the bow.

The matron of honor, bridesmaids and junior bridesmaid wore marine blue knee-length dresses with brown cowboy boots. They also donned pearl necklaces and earrings, gifts from the bride. They each carried a lit antique copper-colored lantern. The flower girl wore an ivory dress and hair bow with brown cowboy boots.

Matron of honor was Maria Bullock of Houston, Texas, longtime friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Stacey (Hayes) Flowers of Dickinson, Texas, and Chelsea (Hayes) Duggan of Ardmore, sisters of the bride; Staci (Rodgers) Hayes of Ada, sister-in-law of the bride; and Cindy (Moreno) Varela of Houston, sister of the groom.

Junior bridesmaid was Baylee Espinosa, daughter of the bride; and the flower girl was Olivia “Livvy” Moreno, 1-year-old daughter of the bride and groom.

Serving as best man was Alexander Moreno, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were David Moreno, brother of the groom; Joseph Salazar and Ryan Bullock, friends of the groom; and Brayden Espinosa, son of the bride.

The reception room was decorated with brown satin tablecloths, ivory lace overlays and runners, and candle-lit antique lantern centerpieces with accents of marine blue and orange. White lights hung from the rafters to light the dance floor.

Music throughout the ceremony and reception was provided by the bride’s cousin, Karl Tyler II, of Oklahoma City, assisted by his friend, David Massey.

The couple plan to celebrate with a family vacation this summer.
