Franz case raises troubling questions

Ada —

Dear Editor,

What kind of law and judges do we have in Ada? Here the cops do their job and then the judge lets them go. I'm so glad I can vote. Maybe it will help put people where they belong who almost killed a woman. People passing by found Mrs. Wilburn after Franz claimed he went back looking for her. Whatever he hit, couldn't he see the dog he killed? Mrs. Wilburn roomed with me at the nursing home. I saw what suffering she went through while he goes free. No, he was not tested for alcohol.

If it had been someone else, their butt would be in jail. Just because he's a (former) ECU coach doesn't make any difference. Is this the kind of law that young people are being taught? Almost kill someone, drive away and leave the scene (Franz had to be over on the shoulder of the road to hit Angela and kill her dog). It's too bad that she had to do all the suffering while he goes free to do it again.

Are you pleased that Oklahoma has repealed Common Core standards for public school students?
