Ponca deaths look like murder-suicide

Ponca City —  

Police have identified two people who died in an apparent murder-suicide in Ponca City.

Officers told the Ponca City News ( ) that 23-year-old Ivonne Widle was found with a gunshot wound at a residence, and her 30-year-old husband, Rex Widle, was discovered in a pickup truck near his in-laws’ home.

Police say they received two 911 calls. One caller reported that a man had shot himself, and another requested a welfare check on an employee who hadn’t come to work.

Officers found Ivonne Widle with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.
