Concho — An Oklahoma-based tribe is betting on a federal lawsuit to get its Internet gambling website up and running.
The Cheyenne and Arapahoe Tribes and the state agreed in its gaming compact that the tribe could operate pokertribes.com with international players.
But the U.S. Department of the Interior put a stop to it last month, saying the state can’t offer exclusive access to a market outside the U.S. The site is currently inactive.
The Oklahoman reports (http://bit.ly/1cklQAC) that the Concho-based tribe filed a federal lawsuit last week seeking to stop the Department of Interior from interfering. The Interior Department has not commented on the lawsuit.
