Fire truck stolen, set ablaze

Avant, Ok. — Authorities in northeast Oklahoma are investigating after someone stole a rural fire department’s fire truck and set it on fire.

Avant Fire Department Chief Gene Atkins says the vandal or vandals also ransacked the volunteer fire department’s office at the station.

The charred fire truck was later discovered on a rural Osage County road.
