ECU will now hit the road to face two strong GAC opponents. The Lady Tigers will first break the stalemate at the top of the standings, as they battle with Harding who is one of the teams that ECU is tied with at the top of the GAC standings, Friday at 7p.m. The Lady Tigers will then travel and face Arkansas Tech, Saturday 2 p.m.




ADA – After taking a week off the East Central University men’s cross country team will be running this weekend at the Chile Pepper Festival hosted by Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark at Agri Park.

The Tigers will be in a large field of teams that consists of mainly Division I teams at the 10K race.

In 2012, ECU finished 24th of 34 teams. Sophomores Arturo Nava and Zacharie Jeandemange are the only two returners competing this season that ran at the race a year ago. Nava finished in 34:41.6, while Jeandemange cross the line in 38:17.2.


ADA – The East Central University women’s cross country team will return to action after taking a week off to participate in the Chile Pepper Festival at Agri Park in Fayetteville, Ark. 

The 6K race is hosted by Arkansas and has a large field of competitors that mostly come from the Division I ranks.

The Lady Tigers finished 27th of 43 teams in 2012. The only member of the 2013 roster that ran in the race last season was junior ReGina Germaine, who finished in 23:10.7.



KINGSTON — The East Central University men’s golf team finished seventh, out of eight teams, at the 2013 Texoma Championship hosted by Southeastern Oklahoma State at Chickasaw Pointe.

The Tigers were led by sophomore Jason Goben. Goben finished tied for 11th individually with a 231 (77-79-75).

Junior Mickane Reglogle was 29th with a 240 (82-75-83), sophomore Jordan Bates was tied for 35th with a 244 (79-76-89), sophomore Blade Knox was 40th with a 248 (79-81-88) and sophomore Michael Million was one stroke behind in a tie for 41st with a 249 (84-84-81).

ECU will have a few weeks off before their next tournament in the fall season. The Tigers will be traveling to the Bruce Williams Memorial hosted by St. Mary’s at The Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. The tournament will be Oct. 20-22.
