NOTEWORTHY: Katelyn Campise went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in the second inning and a run-scoring single in the first to finish with four runs batted in as Stonewall downed Byng, 8-3, on Friday in the Moss Tournament. Campise also got the pitching win, scattering nine hits in six complete innings of work. Larren Humphers and Tameka Hamilton each went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Mackenzie Davis was 1-for-3 with a triple and scored twice. Alexis Hill went 3-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored for Byng, and Tasia Neilson was 2-for-3. Stonewall held an 11-9 edge in total hits.

COACH’S QUOTE: “We did some dumb, youthful things tonight but made enough good plays and timely hits to get the win,” said Stonewall head coach Brian Davis.

NOTEWORTHY: Tarah Madron went 3-for-3 with two runs batted in and a pair of runs scored as Konawa knocked off Wewoka, 9-7, on Friday in the Moss Tournament. Four other Konawa players had two hits apiece. Brooke Snow and Dominique Lyon were each 2-for-2. Snow had one RBI, and Lyon scored once. Shelby Campbell and Rachael Sharp were each 2-for-3. Campbell drove home three runs, and Sharp had two RBIs and scored twice. Konawa had a 13-7 advantage in total hits. Wewoka scored six of its seven runs in the top of the first before Konawa scored four in the bottom half of that frame, added three in the second and scored two more times in the third.

NOTEWORTHY: Five Konawa players had multiple hits as the Lady Tigers claimed a 12-8 decision over Holdenville on Friday in the Moss Tournament. Danielle Khoury (2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs), Jennifer Tooley (2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs), Shelby Campbell (2-for-2 with two runs scored), Rachael Sharp (2-for-3 with three RBIs) and Tarah Madron (2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored) were the multi-hitters as Konawa compiled 15 hits. The Lady Tigers, trailing 4-2 after an inning, broke the game open with an eight-run second inning.

Record: Konawa is 14-6.

NOTEWORTHY: Mike Anderson went 3-for-4 from the plate with a double, three runs batted in and three runs scored as Roff routed host Vanoss, 14-1, in a run rule-shortened four-inning contest on Thursday. Teammates C.J. Johnson and Hunter Larsh collected a pair of hits as well. Johnson was 2-for-2 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Johnson also got the pitching win as he pitched the first three innings, allowing only two hits and no walks while hitting one batter and striking out five batters. Andres Torres pitched the fourth. Larsh was 2-for-3 from the plate with one RBI and a pair of runs scored. The Tigers finished with 14 hits.

Record: Roff is 16-4.

NOTEWORTHY: The Panthers defeated the Wildcats 15-3 Thursday night at Latta. Latta had a huge third inning as the Panthers scored 14 of their runs. Austin Simpson, Cain Brinlee and Michael Alexander all doubled for the Panthers, and Tristan Monroe homered in the run-rule victory. Simpson also picked up the win on the mound for Latta.

NOTEWORTHY: Haley Odell went 3-for-3 from the plate, and Sarah Wauahdooah allowed just two hits as Class A No. 2 Asher clipped Vanoss, 8-0, in 4 ½ innings on Thursday. Tristan Milburn and Marissa Cheatwood each went 2-for-3, and Shelby Fleming was 1-for-3 with a two-run double. Leading 1-0, the Lady Indians scored eight runs in the fourth inning.

Record: Asher is 16-6.

NOTEWORTHY: Lauren Trimmer went 2-for-3 from the plate with a homer, a double and four runs batted in as Roff ripped host Allen, 11-1, on Thursday. Five other Lady Tigers collected two hits apiece. Nicole Swallow went 2-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored. Amy Crawford and Ashley Cornell each went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Crawford also tripled and knocked in a pair of runs. Kaylea Riley and Tori Brown were each 2-for-4. Riley picked up one RBI and scored three times, and Brown scored one run. Kendall Sanford (1-for-3) doubled once and drove in a pair of runs as Roff piled up 15 hits. Brown got the pitching win and gave up only three hits.

NOTEWORTHY: Katelyn Campise allowed only five hits and drove in a pair of runs as Stonewall knocked off Dewar, 6-1, Thursday in the Moss Tournament. Campise allowed only two walks and managed to strike out two. She was 1-for-3 from the plate. Justice Dees and Jessika York each went 2-for-2 for the victorious Lady Longhorns. Dees drove home three runs, and York tripled once, picked up one RBI and scored a run. Teammates Alexis Lambert and Lauryn Humphers were each 2-for-3. Lambert doubled once and scored twice as Stonewall finished with nine hits.

The Lady Longhorns pounded out 22 hits as Justice Dees and Tana Davis were each 3-for-4 from the plate. Dees doubled once, drove in two runs and scored once, and Tana Davis doubled once, picked up one RBI and scored once. Five other Stonewall players collected two hits apiece: Katelyn Campise (2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored), Tameka Hamilton (2-for-3 with two runs scored), Mackenzie Davis (2-for-4 with one RBI and three runs scored), Jessika York (2-for-4 with two runs scored) and Allie Denson (2-for-4 with one RBI).
