Roff runs past Glencoe in first round

Oklahoma City —      The little things meant a lot to the Roff Tigers during a first-round matchup with Glencoe at the Class A State baseball tournament Friday evening at Dolese Park in Oklahoma City.

     The third-ranked Tigers used some incredible bunting and good baserunning and showed the unflappability of veterans — which they are not — and small-balled the ninth-ranked Panthers into oblivion during a 12-5 win. Glencoe, meanwhile, self-destructed at times and ended up committing eight errors in the contest.

     Roff’s young guns advanced to the semifinals at 23-12, while Glencoe ended its season at 25-10.
