Summer sports camps offer kids a chance to learn new skills

Ada — Roff baseball camp leads off June 2-4

ROFF — The annual Roff baseball camp is scheduled for June 2-4 at Tiger Field.

The camp, open to students ages 5-12, will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon daily. Entry fee is $50 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt.

The camp will focus on hitting, base running, fielding and pitching. 

Participants will receive a sack breakfast and lunch daily, and camp prizes will be awarded at the end of camp.

Byng Pirate basketball camp to run from June 2-4

BYNG — The annual Byng Pirate basketball camp is scheduled for June 2-4 at Bill Koller Field House.

Entry fee is $40 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt. Campers can register on the first day of the camp between 8 and 9 a.m.

Students entering grades 3-6 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon daily with students entering grades 7-9 to meet from 1 to 4 p.m. daily.

The goal of the camp is to improve players’ attitudes, fundamentals, skills, and understanding of the game.

Ada boys to host

offensive skills camp

ADA — Ada boys basketball will host an offensive skills camp June 9-11 inside the Cougar Activity Center.

Entry fee is $55 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt). The camp is open to students entering grades K-12 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily.

Byng girls basketball camp set for June 16-18

BYNG — The annual Byng Lady Pirates basketball camp is scheduled for June 16-18 inside the Bill Koller Fieldhouse.

Entry fee is $30 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt. Campers entering grades 2-5 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon each day while campers entering grades 6-9 will meet from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Campers may register at the door on the first day of camp. Parents can also reserve a spot at the camp by texting a message to (580) 320-8572.
