2014 summer athletic camps

Ada — Eccentric Duffer golf camp set for May 26-30

ADA — The annual Eccentric Duffer golf camp will be held at the local course May 26-30.

The camp is open to golfers ages 6-16. Instructors for this year's camp are Max Oliver and Travis Keeley.

The Eccentric Duffer is located approximately 0.9 mile west of the Holcim Cement smokestack on the south side of County Road 1550 (Old Reeves Road), Ada.

Ada softball camp scheduled for May 27-30

ADA — The Ada High softball program will host a summer camp May 27-30 at the Ada Softball Complex.

Elementary and junior high campers will meet from 8 a.m. to noon daily, while high school campers will meet from 1-5 p.m.

Cost is $45 per camper.

Roff softball camp set for May 29-31

ROFF — The 2014 Roff softball summer camp is scheduled for May 29-31.

Cost is $30 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Campers may register the first day of camp beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Concessions will be available.

Simon schedules Roff baseball camp for June 2-4

ROFF — The annual Roff baseball camp is scheduled for June 2-4 at Tiger Field.

The camp, open to students ages 5-12, will from from 8:30 a.m. to noon daily. Entry fee is $50 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt.

The camp will focus on hitting, base running, fielding and pitching.

Participants will receive a sack breakfast and lunch daily, and camp prizes will be awarded at the end of camp.

Byng Pirate basketball camp to run from June 2-4

BYNG — The annual Byng Pirate basketball camp is scheduled for June 2-4 inside the Bill Koller Field House.

Entry fee is $40 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt. Campers can register on the first day of the camp between 8 and 9 a.m.

Students entering grades 3-6 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon daily with students entering grades 7-9 to meet from 1 to 4 p.m. daily.

The goal of the camp is to improve players’ attitudes, fundamentals, skills, and understanding of the game.
