Area high school baseball stars are honing their skills this summer by playing for the Okie Baseball Academy’s 18-and-under traveling team.
The team, under the direction of former Vanoss head baseball coach Neb Brown, was in the process of playing in its third tournament this weekend and owned a 4-5 overall record heading into a Saturday game against Sweetwater Baseball at Putnam City West High School.
“We’ve only been together for about four weeks and have only had a few practices because the kids have been busy,” said Brown. “We haven’t connected as a team as far as chemistry, but overall they’ve done a good job.”
