ECU baseballers win final game of year against Southeastern

The East Central University baseball team split its final two games of the 2013 season against Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Tigers (11-33, 5-25 GAC) first dropped an 8-1 decision to the Savage Storm (20-22, 9-17 GAC) and then came from behind to earn a 10-9 win in game two.

ECU was led by senior Paul Guardado, who hit .667 for the day, with four hits, three runs scored and one RBI. Senior Mac Grace added a .571 average on four hits, two runs scored and four RBIs.

Senior Sam Malchar earned the win on the mound, throwing the final inning of game two, and allowing two hits, one run and striking out one. The Tigers used five pitchers in the two games, with four seniors earning time on the mound and all recording at least one strikeout.
