Latta girls top Seminole in ninth; Prague edges Byng; Konawa fifth

Prague answered in the top of the second. With one out, Macayla Camren walked, Alex Dickson singled, and LeeAnn Littlejohn walked to load the bases. Langley Berry then doubled and two runs crossed the plate. Littlejohn later scored on a fielder’s choice to give Prague a 3-2 lead.

Prague loaded the bases in the top of the third on an error, a single and a walk. Camren then singled home the first rund, and Dickson hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Carley Goodman and push the Prague lead to 5-2.

Byng added a run in the bottom of the fourth after three consecutive Prague errors before leaving the tying run at first base.

Fifth Place

Konawa 5, Cleveland 0

Konawa hurler Tarah Madron only allowed one hit while blanking Cleveland for three innings to claim fifth place. Madron also was 2-for-2 at the plate and scored two runs in the victory.

In the bottom of the first, Madron led off with a single, and scored off of an error for a 1-0 lead. Shelby Campbell walked and later scored on a fielder’s choice to give Konawa a 2-0 lead after one. 

Madron singled again to start the second and scored on another error to push the lead to 3-0.

Two more Cleveland errors allowed Konawa to score twice more before time expired.
