NOTEWORTHY: Matison Worcester fired a four-hit shutout while Maria Priest and Chelsea Alexander collected three hits each as Latta blanked Rock Creek in the three-way Tushka Festival. Worcester allowed just one walk and struck out four in raising her record to 4-0. Priest went 3-for-3 from the plate and scored twice and Alexander was 3-for-4 with one run scored. Shelbey Parnacher went 2-for-2 and scored a run and Maebree Abney contributed a double for the winners. The Lady Panthers pounded out 15 hits in the win.

NOTEWORTHY: The Lady Panthers surrendered five unearned runs after committing four errors in dropping a 6-5 decision to host Tushka in Latta’s second game of the Tushka Festival. The hosts held a 14-13 edge in total hits. For Latta, Jordyn Scott went 3-for-4 from the plate and scored a run while Maria Priest was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Priest took the pitching loss.

NOTEWORTHY: Roff was able to push across a run in the top of the seventh to slip by Coalgate 2-1 during a Tuesday night road game. Senior Tori Brown led off the seventh inning with a triple and later scored on an RBI single by Jalee Hood, who finished with three hits for the Lady Tigers. RHS hurler Kendall Sanford struck out nine and scattered five hits in a strong complete-game effort.

NOTEWORTHY: Zach Lewis went 4-for-5 from the plate with three doubles, four runs batted in and three runs scored as Roff rolled to a 14-6 decision over Tupelo in six innings. Teammate Mike Anderson went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, and Rayce Stephens wemnt 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored for the hosts, who pounded out 16 hits and overcame four errors. Tupelo’s Corey McCollum was 3-for-4 with one RBI as Tupelo finished with 10 hits. Tupelo also had four errors. C.J. Johnson was credited with the win after working the first three innings. Hunter Larsh and Mike Anderson also provided relief help. Starter Luke Leland was tagged with the loss for Tupelo.

NOTEWORTHY: Reid Wall allowed just one earned run off three hits with only two walks and 10 strikeouts as the Pirates topped Red Oak, 5-1. Shawn Treat pitched the seventh inning and retired all three batters he faced, including two on strikeouts. Andre Davis went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs batted in and two runs scored as Byng compiled six hits. Joe Nemecek, Reid Wall, Gage Wall and Zeek Lumley added a hit apiece and Hunter Capps drove in two runs, including one off a sacrifice fly.

NOTEWORTHY: A two-out grand slam by Tupelo’s Caleb Watson in the top of the seventh was too little, too late as the Tigers dropped a 6-5 decision to host Rock Creek. Watson went 2-for-4 in the game with the four runs batted in and teammate Corey McCollum was 2-for-3 as Tupelo finished with six hits.
