2013 golf camp

ADA — The Eccentric Duffer Golf Course will hosts its 2013 Golf camp May 27-31.

The camp is open to young golfers ages 6-16.

Campers ages 6-10 will attend a morning session with campers ages 11-16 attending an afternoon session.

The Eccentric Duffer is located approximately one mile west of the Holcim Cement smokestack at 13205 County Road 1550 (formerly Reeves Road).


Ada Cougars schedule

offensive skills camp

ADA — The 2013 Ada boys basketball offensive skills camp is scheduled for June 3-5 inside the Cougar Activity Center.

The camp, open to students ages K-12, will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $45 per camper.

This camp will introduce and develop the fundamentals of offensive basketball with emphasis placed on shooting, ball handling, dribbling and passing. All campers will receive a T-shirt.

Ada Lady Cougars

plan fundamentals camp

ADA — The Ada Lady Cougars Fundamental Basketball Camp is scheduled for May 28-30 inside the Cougar Activity Center.

Cost for the camp, open to students entering grades 1-9, is $45 and includes a camp T-shirt.

Campers in grades 1-5 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon daily while campers in grades 6-9 will meet from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Goals of the camp include learning the fundamentals of basketball on both offense and defense. Ball handling, shooting and footwork will also be emphasized.

"We will stress the team concept and sportsmanship," said Ada girls coach Christie Jennings.
