NOTEWORTHY: Lyndsay Daffern hit a grand slam while Kim Helms was a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with two doubles and four runs scored as Stonewall overcame 11 errors to beat Kiowa, 12-9. Daffern went 2-for-3 from the plate to go with her four RBIs and two runs scored. Breann Gipson was 2-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored for the victorious Longhorns, and teammate Allie Denson went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored.

COACH’S QUOTE: “We’re going to have to clean up (the errors) before the playoffs,” — Stonewall head coach Brian Davis.

Record: Stonewall is 18-4.

NOTEWORTHY: Sidney Fuller went 3-for-3 from the plate, homered twice, drove home seven runs and scored three times as Class 5A sixth-ranked Byng belted Konawa in four innings. Also producing big for the Lady Pirates was Breana Warner, who not only limited the Lady Tigers to four hits but was 3-for-3 from the plate and scored twice. Also getting multiple hits for Byng were Alexis Hill (2-for-2 with a double, one RBI and one run scored), Raygn Geiger (2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored), Breecia Crawford (2-for-3 with a triple, one RBI and two runs scored), and Dom Lyon (2-for-3 with a double and one RBI). Tara Madron, Haley Terry, Brooke Snow and Racheal Sharp each had a single for Konawa.

NOTEWORTHY: Kurston Chamberlain went 3-for-4 from the plate and drove in four runs as Class A third-ranked Tupelo upended host Silo, 10-3. Also contributing big to the Lady Tiger offense was Kristyn Parker, who was 3-for-5 with one RBI and three runs scored; Brittany Sanders, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored; and Kayley Sanders, who was 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and a run scored.

Record: Tupelo is 19-5.
