Latta girls win Lady Cougar Classic

(Continued)

Ada —

“My girls are a work in progress, just like every year at this time,” Anderson said. “Regionals are less than a month away, and unfortunately it will take a lot longer than that to improve our golfing skills. But decisions on the course can improve overnight."

Anderson said he expects improvement from his squad in each outing.

“I’ve said this every year: You can’t coach experience. But with this young team, I have to do a better job as coach to teach course management, and the girls must do a better job with their decisions on the course,” he said. “Just those two improvements alone will lower our scores greatly.”

The Lady Cougars won’t get much down time. They travel to Ardmore today and head to the Sulphur Country Club on April 7.

The Lady Panthers' next outing is April 9 in the Savanna Invitational, held at Arrowhead Lake Golf Course outside Canadian.
