NOTEWORTHY: Dalton Madden tossed in 16 points and Cade Carpenter followed with 15 as Roff rolled to a 64-38 rout of host Vanoss on Tuesday. The Tigers jumped out to a 16-1 advantage after one quarter, led 31-16 at halftime and sat on a 52-22 cushion through three quarters. Zach Lewis and Lonnie Petersen tacked on eight points each for the victorious Tigers. Dayton Phillips scored a game-high 18 points for the Wolves and Cody Tharp followed with seven, including a pair of 3-pointers.

NOTEWORTHY: All 12 players, suited up for Stratford, scored as the Bulldogs rolled to a 67-36 rout of Dibble in the Big 8 Conference opener on Tuesday at East Central University’s Kerr Activities Center. Cade Savage led the way for Stratford with 19 points, Josh Waller followed with 10 and Brenton Willingham chipped in nine. The Bulldogs had six 3-pointers come from six different players. Stratford led just 16-14 after one quarter and 26-20 at halftime, before going on a 23-6 run in the third to pull away. 

COACH’S QUOTE: “It’s always nice when everyone has a chance to score. We were sluggish early and only led by six at the half. But our intensity level picked up in the second half. It’s always good to get that first conference win,” — Stratford head coach Mark Qualls.
