Byng tackles McLoud to advance

Byng —

The hosts got an RBI single by designated hitter Caleb Scroggins in the bottom of the third with two more runs scoring via a passed ball and a wild pitch.

Byng scored the final three runs in the fourth with the aid of just one hit — a leadoff single by Reid Wall. Andre Davis had a sacrifice fly in the final BHS uprising that also included two more walks, an error and two runs that scored on two more wild pitches.

Reid Wall was the only player in the game with more than one hit but four players scored two runs each for Byng and four others had at least one RBI.

The Pirates have now outscored their last four opponents by a combined score of 40-1.

Tuttle 11, Coalgate 3

Tuttle erupted for eight first-inning runs to bury the Wildcats early.

Conner Litterell blasted a two-run homer in the first-inning outburst while Zach Wall added an RBI double. Dalton Secrist also had an RBI hit in the early Tuttle explosion.

The Tigers scored two more runs in the second to grab 10-1 advantage.

Corey Cupp scattered three hits to earn the mound win for Tuttle.

Litterell finished 1-for-1 with three RBIs — which included a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third that plated the final Tuttle run. Tanner Brannon, Austin Garrett and Secrist all had two hits each in a 12-hit Tuttle offense.

Tyler Price, Cutter Brown and Cody Franks all finished 1-for-2 for the Wildcats.
