NOTEWORTHY: Rayce Stephens and Andy Antonio collected a pair of hits apiece as Roff downed Calera, 10-6, on Friday. Stephens went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs while Antonio was 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and a run scored. Starter Mike Anderson got the pitching win as the Tigers used four pitchers in the game. Calera finished with 10 hits and Roff ended up with seven.

NOTEWORTHY: Henryetta (No. 12 in Class 5A) jumped on Stonewall with nine first-inning runs and cruised to a 13-0 win over the Lady Longhorns on Saturday in the Moss Tournament. Stonewall was limited to three hits, one each from Lauryn Humphers, Tana Davis and Mackenzie Davis. Henryetta compiled 12 hits as five players had at least two hits apiece. The Lady Longhorns (No. 1 in Class 2A) also ended up with three errors.

NOTEWORTHY: Holdenville (No. 11 in Class 5A) overcame a 3-1 deficit with five runs in the second, five in the fourth and one more in the fifth to claim a 12-3 decision over Stonewall on Saturday in the Moss Tournament. As a result, the Lady Longhorns were forced to settle for third place in the Moss Tournament. Stonewall was held to six hits. Sarah Monday went 1-for-2 with one RBI while Tana Davis, Allie Denson and Mackenzie Davis were each 1-for-2 with a run scored. One of Tana Davis’ hits went for a double. Ashley Wilburn, Hannah Hoover and Angel Johnson all had two hits apiece to pace the Lady Wolverines.

COACH’S QUOTE: “We didn’t play well on Saturday in either game. We never got that little spark to get us going. Third place in that tournament isn’t a bad thing, but not what we expect or settle for here at Stonewall,” said Stonewall head coach Brian Davis.

Team Records: Stonewall 20-6; Holdenville 15-12.
