NOTEWORTHY: Vanoss scored eight runs in the bottom of the first and took advantage of six Calvin errors in the win. Annie Wall and Taylor Smith both had doubles, two hits and two RBIs for the Lady Wolves.

NOTEWORTHY: The Lady Wolves again got off to a quick start, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the first to take control early. Pitcher Tracy McKibben scattered four hits and finished 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI to pace the VHS offense. The Lady Wolves took advantage of five Allen errors.

COACHES QUOTE: “It was really good to get a couple of wins. The girls are swinging it pretty well right now,” — Vanoss head coach John Impson.

NOTEWORTHY: Kim Helms went 2-for-2 from the plate with a double and scored three runs, while Lyndsay Daffern was 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored for the victorious Lady Longhorns. Tanna Davis was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and scored twice, and Breann Gipson went 1-for-2 with a double, one RBI and a pair of runs scored. Jordan Pharr allowed just two hits in the three-inning contest.
