ECU Tigers to host series of basketball camps

Ada — The East Central University men's basketball team will be host four Tiger Basketball Camps during the month of July for students entering the third to eighth grades.

The Tigers will host a boys basketball camp July 14-16 and a girls basketball camp July 21-23. 

Both camps will be broken up into a pair of age group sessions. 

Students entering grades 3-6 will receive instruction from 9 a.m.-noon in both camps, while players entering grades 6-8 will have instruction from 1-4 p.m. inside the Kerr Activities Center.

The Tiger Basketball School was developed to teach the skills needed to be a successful basketball player starting at the junior high level and into high school and collegiate play.

The cost for the Tiger Basketball Camps is $75 per participant and includes instruction from college basketball coaches and players, prizes an ECU Tiger Basketball T-shirt.

Spots are limited for each session and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Participants can sign up through the opening day of each session, with pre-registration being completed through www.tigerbasketballschool.com or by contacting ECU assistant basketball coach Tomas Brock by phone at (417) 316-0521 or email at tbrock@ecok.edu.

All participants are required to bring tennis shoes, appropriate basketball clothing and medical and liability forms (also available in the online registration).
