The East Central University soccer team finished its first Great American Conference match of the 2017 season in a 0-0 tie with Southwestern Thursday at Tiger Field.

LATTA — Through four innings, the Byng Pirates and Latta Panthers were locked in a Class A District Tournament dogfight Thursday evening at Panther Park.

TUPELO – Ty Bourland and Anthony Yellowfish combined for a three-inning no-hitter Thursday as No. 5 Tupelo ripped Calvin 17-0 in a Class B district baseball playoff game.

ROFF – Chad Whitis tossed a five-inning no-hitter and Josh Lewis hit a two-run homer Thursday as the third-ranked Roff Tigers opened Class A district baseball play with a 10-0 thumping of Vanoss.

STONEWALL – Kai Watkins limited the Roff Lady Tigers to just two hits on the day as the third-ranked Stonewall Lady Longhorns rolled to an 8-0, 17-0 doubleheader sweep and a Class A District championship on Thursday.

The non-conference schedule couldn’t have gone much better for Oklahoma State. On its way to a 3-0 start, the Cowboys were able to rattle off back-to-back-to-back impressive victories, in which they didn’t score less than 44 points.

NORMAN — Phil Forte has played in a lot of Bedlam games, and he’s made a lot of 3-pointers during his storied Oklahoma State career.

The New York Knicks have agreed to a trade that would send 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports. The Thunder will send center Enes Kanter, forward Doug McDermott and the Chicago Bulls’ 2018 second-round pick to complete the deal.
