For the first time since 2007, Oklahoma enters the season with the place-kicking job settled. Michael Hunnicutt was 21-for-24 last season, tying the program's single season field goal record.

"It definitely feels good going into two-a-days as the number one guy," Hunnicutt said. "I've just got to keep that mental aspect going, just compete every day so I can get better. At Oklahoma you feel like you have to prove yourself every day."

Hunnicutt believes his right leg has gotten stronger since last season. However, the sophomore wasn't focused on gaining distance in the summer.

"Honestly, I worked a lot inside of 40 yards, to try to get really consistent," Hunnicutt said.
