A year ago, Richetti Jones was one of the players being bombarded with questions from the media during the weekly media luncheons.
Now the shoe is on the other foot as Jones interviewed some of his former teammates as a member of Oklahoma State’s radio team.
“It feels good,” Jones said. “I’m taking it all in. I enjoy seeing my teammates have success and I just enjoy seeing it from the other side now. I’m enjoying seeing it from the media side now, and I’m fine with it.”
Jones has always had a knack for being an on-air personality, following his debut in ESPN’s Summer House. Now he’s hoping it will lead him to a career he loves.
“I feel like that I’ve always been talented when it came to speaking on camera and being in front of the media and I enjoy it,” Jones said. “Right now, it’s like, I could be pursuing a career in something else and just work a regular job, or I could be doing something that I enjoy. And I enjoy doing these kinds of things, whether it’s being on the radio, actually interviewing people on camera or even just writing a column, I enjoy it.”
