NOTEWORTHY: Coalgate outrebounded Atoka, 25-14, and Jamaica Pebworth continued her recent offensive surge with 14 points (including 3-of-6 shooting from 3-point range) as the Lady Wildcats improved to 16-0 heading into Friday’s showdown with Stonewall. Mallory Walker had 13 points and five rebounds in the win, Lauren Sandman had five steals, and Teran Mixon added six assists to go with eight points.

NOTEWORTHY: Konawa blew an 11-point third-quarter lead and surrendered 21 fourth-quarter points in dropping a tough decision to Class A No. 14 Strother. Rachael Cole had 16 points and Kelsey Howard added 14 in the loss. Felesia Walker led Strother with 21 points, and April Wallace added 16, including seven free throws in eight tries in the fourth quarter.

NOTEWORTHY: Bray-Doyle shut down Stratford star Garan Qualls, limiting him to about 15 points below his season average, but three other Bulldogs were in double figures in the victory. T. J. Gaines and Jeremy Lavorchek had 18 points apiece, and Brian Carter scored a season-high 11 — including six in a 22-point Stratford explosion in the third quarter. Gaines had seven points in the third period, after the Bulldogs led just 31-29 at halftime.
