Latta scored in every inning but the fourth and a five-run outburst in the bottom of the fifth sealed the outcome against the Lady Wolves, who had defeated Latta in a regular season matchup earlier this spring. Chelsey Bennett led LHS in the title game, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Tosha MacCollister finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the hosts.

COACHES QUOTE: “I was very pleased with the way our girls played. When you allow only three runs in three games that’s pretty good. We kind of took control of the games and didn’t let them dictate what they wanted to do. We had situations where we hit pretty good and then we had some where we could have scored more runs. But we’re playing another week,” — Latta head coach Jim Foster.

Team Record: Latta 17-8.
