Tiger Iron boot camp
kicks off Monday
ADA — Tiger Iron will start its 'Get in Shape for the Holidays' boot camp with East Central’s own certified strength and conditioning coach, Kallie Jo Jones beginning Monday, Nov. 15.
Workouts are held in East Central’s new Pat O’Neal Strength and Conditioning Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. This final camp will last four weeks — starting on Nov. 15 and ending on Dec. 10.
The cost of the camp is $200 with a discount for ECU faculty of $100.
Newcomers are invited to try the camp for free on Monday.

ECU volleyball players
honored by conference
ADA — East Central University libero Megan Kimak and middle blocker Rachel Watson received Lone Star Conference volleyball postseason awards, it was announced Wednesday in conjunction with the LSC Championships in Canyon, Texas.
Kimak, a junior from Enid, was named to the All-LSC Second Team while Watson, a sophomore from Edmond, was selected to the 14-member All-LSC Academic Team.
Kimak ranked second in the LSC in digs per set at 5.07. She earned one LSC Defensive Player of the Week award during the 2010 season.
Watson was voted to the all-academic team for having better than a cumulative 3.30 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Deadline today for
Youth Basketball League
ADA — Today is the final day for parents and coaches to register players for the Ada Boys and Girls Club Youth Basketball League.
Cost is $40 per player, which includes a team jersey. The league is open to boys and girls in grades 1-8.
Coaches may register teams at the Ada Boys and Girls Club located at 915 S. Hickory from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
