MLB players to hold camp

ADA —Former MLB players Damon Minor and Kevin Polcovich will be holding a one-day baseball camp for players ages 5-12 Friday, Oct. 20 at the Kiwanis Baseball fields.Ages 5-8 will meet from 8 a.m. to noon while ages 9-12 will meet from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.Cost is $60 per player and is due by Oct. 6.For more information, phone (580) 320-1069.



Sign up now for youth basketball

ADA — Trinity Baptist Church is now taking enrollment for teams as well as individuals for the upcoming youth basketball leagues.

Leagues will consist of players in grades 1-4. Forms can be picked up at the church, 123 N. Mississippi and are due by Oct. 6. Entry fee is $45.

The leagues will begin play Nov. 4 with a mandatory coaches meeting set for Oct. 9 at 6 p.m.

Golf scramble Saturday in Sulphur

SULPHUR — The Students In Free Enterprise second annual two-person golf scramble is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Sulphur Hills Golf Course.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with tee time to follow at 9 a.m.

Entry fee is $40 per player or $80 per team. The first-place team will win $200.

The tournament is sponsored by East Central University’s Students in Free Enterprise.

Roff sports passes now available

ROFF — Roff All-Sports Season Passes are now on sale at the high school office.

Tickets are good from October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007 for all sporting events sponsored by Roff Schools. Passes are not good for OSSAA playoff events. Passes will be sold through November 2006. Cost is $90 per family, $50 per adult and $25 for students.

Roff School District Senior Citizens (60 and over) can get a free pass on request.

Ada wrestling booster club to meet

ADA — The Ada High School wrestling booster club will meet Monday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Ada Junior High west gymnasium.

Topics for discussion include the 2006 media guide, elementary wrestling and upcoming fundraisers.

All Cougar wrestling parents are encouraged to attend.
