Questionnaires needed from

area basketball coaches

ADA — Preseason basketball questionnaires for area coaches were mailed last week to each school’s athletic director.

Coaches are asked to get a copy of the questionnaires, and return them to the Ada Evening News sports department via mail or FAX by Thursday at 5 p.m.

Preseason basketball capsules and schedules will be published in the Sunday, Oct. 29, edition of the Ada Evening News.

Vanoss plans first

alumni basketball game

VANOSS — Vanoss athletics will be hosting its first alumni basketball game Oct. 28 at the school gymnasium.

The women’s game will start at 6:30 p.m. with the men’s contest to follow at approximately 8 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students.

Odd-year graduates will play even-year graduates. Cost is $10 per player.

Registration under way

for youth basketball

ADA — Boys and girls in grades 5-8 can now register for a USA basketball league held this winter at East Central University.

The deadline to register is Nov. 5.

League games will begin the first weekend in December and will be played in ECU’s McBride Gym.

Ada wrestling parents

to meet Oct. 30

ADA — A meeting for parents of Ada wrestlers of all ages has been scheduled for Monday, Oct. 30, at the Ada Junior High cafeteria.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. All parents are encouraged to attend.

Boys and Girls Club plans

end-of-season tournament

ADA — The Boys and Girls Club will host its first end-of-season soccer tournament Saturday, Oct. 28.

All teams that played during the fall season will participate with an end-of-season cookout and presentation of medals after the tournament.
