ADA — A 3-on-3 basketball tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 20 at the Ada Junior High.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with play tipping off at 9 a.m.
Men and Women Divisions include: Little Ballers (Ages 10-14); Heavy Hitters (Ages 15-29); and Couch Potatoes (Ages 30 and up).
Entry fee is $40 per four-person team. Participants can also enter a 3-point shootout and dunk contest for $1 apiece.
Championship T-shirts and trophies will be awarded.

planned May 23-26
ADA — The 2006 Ada Lady Cougar Basketball Camp is scheduled for May 23-26 at the Cougar Activity Center.
The camp, open to all area basketball players entering grades 1-9, runs from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Cost is $40 per camper.
2006 basketball camp
STONEWALL — The 2006 Stonewall basketball camp is scheduled from May 22-24 inside the Murphy-Roberts Gymnasium.
Entry fee is $30 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt.
Girls and boys entering grades 3-6 will meet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily while campers entering grades 7-8 will meet from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

BYNG — The annual Byng baseball camp is scheduled for May 23-25 at Stokes Field.
The camp, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon daily, is open to players ages 8-14. Cost is $40 per player and includes a camp T-shirt.

Ada tennis camp
to begin May 30
ADA — Ada High School will host a three-week tennis camp from May 30 through June 15 at the Ada Tennis Center.
Sessions for beginners and/or sixth grade and under players will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. each morning, with advanced and/or seventh grade and up scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Student-teacher ratio at the camp will be limited to 6-to-1, and cost is $40 for one week, $70 for two weeks and $100 for all three weeks. If more than one family member is taking lessons, deduct $5 per child.

ROFF — Roff High School coaches Darrick Farriell and Scott Morgan will host a basketball camp for third through eighth-graders Tuesday through Thursday, May 30 through June 1, at the school.
Emphasis during the three-day camp will be on the fundamentals of basketball: shooting, dribbling, passing and defense. Sessions last from 9 a.m. to 12 noon each day.
Cost is $30 per camper and includes a camp T-shirt.

ADA — The Eccentric Duffer golf course has scheduled a Kids’ Camp for the week of June 5-9.
Campers ages 7 to 11 will attend from 8 a.m. through noon daily with campers ages 12 to 16 will attend from noon until 5 p.m. each day.
Cost is $65 per camper. A pre-registration fee of $25 is required and is due by May 3
“Day-of-camp” enrollees will be accepted as space allows.

ADA — The annual Ada boys basketball game is scheduled for June 27-30 at the Cougar Activity center.
The camp is open to all area youngsters entering grades 3-8.
Cost is $50 per camper ($80 for two campers in the same family) and includes a camp T-shirt.
Campers entering Grades 3-5 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon daily while campers entering grades 6-8 will meet from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Take a Kid Fishing scheduled
for June 3 at Elks Lodge
ADA — Take a Kid Fishing Day is Saturday, June 3, at Ada Elks Lodge. registration and sign-in starts at 8 a.m. Fishing starts at 9 a.m. with lunch and refreshments served at 11 a.m.
The event is free, but parents must register their kids at any KYKC live remote broadcast or with an official entry to be printed in the Ada Evening News. Bait will be provided to all participants as well as the chance to win prizes, including a two-man fishing boat provided by Dr. Pepper, tickets to Six Flags Over Texas and other prizes.
The event is hosted by KYKC, 100.1FM radio.
