Lady Cougar Camp

ADA — The 2006 Ada Lady Cougar Basketball Camp is scheduled for May 23-26 at the Cougar Activity Center.

The camp, open to all area basketball players entering grades 1-9, runs from 9 a.m. to noon daily. Cost is $40 per camper.



Fire Department

plans golf tournament

ADA — The Eccentric Duffer golf course and range is hosting the Second Annual Pickett Volunteer Fire Department two-person golf scramble on May 6.

Tee time is set for 8 a.m.

First place pays $150; second place pays $100 and third place pays $50. 

There will also be prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin contests and numerous door prizes.

The Eccentric Duffer is located approximate one mile west of the Holcim Cement smokestack on County Road 1550 (formerly Reeves Road).

ECU soccer team sets

annual golf scramble

ADA — The East Central University women’s soccer team will hold its sixth annual golf tournament Monday, May 8 at the Oak Hills Golf and Country Club.

The four-person scramble will include tee times of 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Entry fee is $280 per team ($70 per individual and $60 for students).

Lady Pirates camp set

for May 23-25 in Byng

BYNG — The annual Byng Lady Pirates basketball camp will run from May 23-25 inside the Bill Koller Field House.

Entry fee is $45 per camper and includes a camp t-shirt.

Players entering grades 3-6 will meet daily from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and campers enterig grades 7-9 will meet from noon to 3 p.m.

STONEWALL — The 2006 Stonewall basketball camp is scheduled from May 22-24 insdie the Murphy-Roberts Gymnasium.

Entry fee is $30 per camper and includes a camp t-shirt.

Girls and boys entering grades 3-6 will meet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily while campers entering grades 7-8 will meet from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
