NOTEWORTHY: Courtney Capps had RBI singles as part of five-run Konawa rallies in the first and fourth innings as the Lady Tigers from Seminole County (ranked No. 3 in Class 4A) rallied to beat the Lady Tigers from Coal County (No. 5 in 2A). Winning pitcher Allison Yellowfish had a two-run double in Konawa’s fourth-inning outburst, which wiped out a 7-5 Tupelo lead. Landra Nelson wrapped up a big day at the plate with two hits — including a triple — and three RBIs for Tupelo, which also got two hits from Shanna Davidson in the loss.
