Charissa Smith and Tosha MacCollister stroked back-to-back doubles for Latta’s first run in the second, and Priest followed with a single to score MacCollister, but the Lady Panthers managed just one hit the rest of the way.

Horton, and the Lady Tigers withstood a 12-hit Wanette attack to snap a three-game losing streak.

NOTEWORTHY: Kayla Balthrop homered for the second straight game, and Roff rode a 15-hit attack to the run-rule rout of Class 2A No. 9 New Lima. Balthrop’s leadoff homer ignited a four-run second inning, after the Lady Tigers scored five times in a first inning. Tess Truett and Jamie Fowler went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs and had two triples apiece in the win, and Fowler also doubled and scored.
