NOTEWORTHY: The Lady Pirates jumped out to a 24-8 first-quarter lead, but Madill outscored Byng 42-27 in the second and third quarters to make it a nailbiter. The Lady Pirates put the game away with a 15-8 fourth-quarter run. Whitney Harris led Byng with 18 points, while Stacie Bell followed with 14 and Cila Dunigan also reached double figures with 13.

NOTEWORTHY: The Lady Mustangs came from behind with a 23-13 fourth-quarter run to pick up their 14th win of the season for head coach Greg Mills. Kelsey Gee led all scorers with 24 points, while Danli Mills tossed in 12. Lorissa Skelton just missed double digits with 9.

NOTEWORTHY: The Pirates had only an eight-point heading into the fourth quarter, but Byng went on a 16-0 run to cruise to the victory. Preston Petty lead the Pirates with 20 points, including four 3-pointers, while Heath Wall also reached double digits with 11.

COACH’S QUOTE: “We had a really good second half. Three of our starters were in foul trouble in the first half. I’m very satisfied with our squad. NOTEWORTHY:The Mustangs got into foul trouble early and couldn’t find their rhythm. Caddo used a 20-10 fourth-quarter surge to get past Allen. Brandon Postoak had another outstanding game with 21 points, while Chris Thyne was right behind with 15.
