He is expected to miss the team’s regular season finale Monday at Capitol Hill. Scotty Brasher finished sixth in 16:34 while Calvin Jalufka was eight in 16:46. Miranda Claxton turned in another solid outing for the Byng girls’s squad, finishing 45th in 13:42.

COACHES QUOTE: “I was pleased. We ran our best (boys) race of the season as a team this season. You can’t feel bad about getting beat by those squads. Most of our runners improved upon their season bests again. Running in the big school class is a good tune-up for our regional and state meets,” — Byng head coach Clint McGaha.

Up Next: Byng travels to Capitol Hill in OKC Monday to compete in the 2006 Redskin Run. Byng will then prepare for its Class 3A Regional Meet scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 19 at O’Brien Park in Tulsa. Class 3A girls will run at 1 p.m. with the boys to follow at 1:30 p.m.
