NOTEWORTHY: Host Tushka was within single digits early in the second half but Konawa clamped down on defense in the fourth quarter, finishing the game on a 21-2 run while scoring the final 18 points of the game. Rhea Grant scored 15 of her game-high 21 points to help Konawa to a 21-13 hafltime lead. Konawa also began the game with a 14-0 surge. Grant also had five rebounds and four steals. Kelsey Howard hit three 3-pointers and added 13 points while Amber Lamb followed with seven points and seven rebounds.

COACHES QUOTE: “We just did what we had to do to win the ballgame. It wasn’t very pretty. Like I told the girls, for about a quarter and a half we looked as good as we’ve looked all year. At times we looked really good. But at other times we weren’t very sharp,” — Konawa head coach Gordon Garner.

NOTEWORTHY: Konawa was limited to single digit scoring in each of the final three quarters as Tushka eased to its eighth victory of the young season. Dillon Snow was strong in defeat for Konawa with 13 points and five rebounds while Cylas Foster added 12 points and nine boards. Kris Winters scored 14 in a balanced Tushka attack.
