NOTEWORTHY: Christian Johnson won the Cougars’ lone event title at Friday’s Ardmore Invitational at Noble Stadium with a leap of 6-4 in the high jump. Qumain Black was runner-up in the long jump, while being a part of the second-place 400 meter relay with Ramsey Maxwell, Eddie Brown and Travis Cowan. Nick Anderson was third in the pole vault.

NOTEWORTHY: The Lady Pirates won two relay events as Sarah Harris, Sydney Bartlett, Brenna Williamson and Shay Grove took first in the 3200 relay, while Williamson, Harris, Rachel Ford and Mahgen Boissenin came in first in the 800 relay. Harris, Williamson, Bartlett and Boissenin were second in the 1600 relay. Ford was second in the 100 and 300 hurdles, while Boissenin and Williamson were 2-3 in the high jump. For the Pirates, Kaike Monteiro was the champion in the long jump, and runner-up in the 800 run. Chase Sorrels was second in the 3200 run and third in the 1600 run.
