NOTEWORTHY: Laramie Doffin and Lizzy Simpson tossed in nine points each to fuel the Vanoss Lady Wolves to a 53-8 hammering of the Wanette Lady Tigers on Tuesday. Simpson sank three treys on her way to nine. Rileigh Rush and Emrie Ellis each supplied seven points for Vanoss, and Caitlin Byrd chipped in six. Noah Oates scored all of Wanette’s points. The Lady Wolves jumped out to a 21-2 advantage after a quarter and led 35-2 at intermission. It was 49-8 after three quarters. The game ended just over a minute into the fourth quarter after the second player for Wanette fouled out, and the Lady Tigers didn’t have enough players to continue.

NOTEWORTHY: Autumn Fritz tossed in a game-high 16 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Tupelo Lady Tigers dropped a 45-36 decision to Calvin on Tuesday. Fritz knocked down 4-of-5 shots from 3-point range. Kaitlyn Ellis and Lindsey Meek followed with six points each. Meek also recorded four steals, and Kaya Stallcup pulled down eight rebounds to go with her four points. Shantel Potter paced Calvin with 13 points, and Hannah Harris contributed 10. A 14-4 run through the first quarter set the tone for the Lady Bulldogs.

NOTEWORTHY: The Vanoss Wolves raced out to a 19-0 lead through one quarter and led 32-7 at the half in securing a 61-28 rout of the Wanette Tigers on Tuesday. Colton Bird paced Vanoss with 10 points Sando Hill and Nathan Stone followed with nine apiece, and Kyler Byrd, behind a pair of 3-point baskets, ended up with eight points. Matthew Rodman led Wanette with 11 points, including one trey.
